Asset Audit

bigWebApps' Asset Auditor is being designed to minimize the “man-hours” that are required by cumbersome room by room audits. Currently, most organizations are forced to either dispatch internal employees or hire outside contractors to handle this time consuming task.

There are five simple steps to complete the Asset Auditor procedure:

  1. Admin initiates email to each individual End User who is assigned to rooms throughout your organization. This email will contain a link to that room's asset audit page.
  2. End User (this can be any Login type in bigWebDesk) is shown a list of assets that should be in their room with asset tag/serial number attached. The End User simply checks the assets that are present in their room and leaves assets not in their room unchecked.
    1. A “Lost” list of assets is created on the fly as the audits are completed throughout organization
  3. The second question that the End User will be asked is to notate any assets in their room that were not on the list and that have an asset tag. The asset administrator will build a list of asset types that they need to include. If the asset tag number is recognized as one on the “Lost” list, that asset will then be reassigned to its new location.
    1. A “Moved” list of assets is created for the administrator.
  4. The third question will be to give a brief description of any assets that are in the room but are not tagged.
    1. This will create a “Untagged” list of assets for the administrator.
  5. The final step will be to follow up with the End Users who ignored the first email. You will have a list of “Unaudited” rooms where you can continue to send reminders.
