Greetings!
Newsletter—February 2007
Happy February to everyone. The bigWebApps team extends warm greetings to everyone (especially those stuck in the middle of a cold winter!). We are very excited about the changes that are being made to bigWebDesk and the bigWebApps Community.
Your opinion wanted!
We are looking to make improvements to the “look & feel” of bigWebDesk. The changes will be made to the End User version at first. Over time, these changes will be extended to all aspects of the application.
Screenshots and a discussion of these changes can be found on our blog. We encourage you to come over and join in the conversations.
The blog is becoming a critical part of our communication with you. If you use a feeder program such as Google Reader, then you may be interested in adding us to your subscriptions.
We look forward to your participation in the bigWebApps community!
Next Up: Asset Upgrades
The next major upgrade that will developed for bigWebDesk is an overhaul to the Asset Manager. We currently have a discussion going on our discussion board where you can directly impact the features and functionality that will be added.
Our developers are currently compiling the list of changes to be made. Once again, your participation in these discussions helps us improve the application in ways that immediately help you improve your support process.
Ticket Count Report
If you are looking for better reporting out of bigWebDesk, you definitely want to check out the Ticket Count report. This report supplants most of the older reports in the system (Technician Standard, Location, Classes, etc.) by giving you the flexibility in choosing the Y-axis.
Where it far exceeds the abilities of the other reports is in three main areas:
- Sub Y-axis—this allows you to break down the numbers giving you greater control of your data
- Filters—Using a combination of the the Y-axis, Sub Y-axis and filters, the specific information that you are looking for is now available
- Print Improvements—After filtering and sorting in the manner that you need, you can now use the Printable Version to present the data to others
If you would like a walk-through of the Ticket Count report, please feel free to call the bigWebApps support team at 1.866.996.1200 x 2.
Enjoy!
